3 best OLED laptops for 2022

OLED technology is finally coming to laptops in small quantities. The year 2021 marked the beginning of the OLED laptop breakthrough, thanks to some oled panel manufacturing trends. However, the considerations for laptops may be slightly different. While you want TVs to look their best when watching movies or streaming, there are different use cases to a computer.

Laptops have to worry about battery life, which is a necessary evil for which PCs were designed. These changes affect how the screen technology works with the product. This brings me to my question: do you need a 2022 OLED laptop to replace your current one? Take a look at the alternatives.

1. Apple MacBook Pro 16

Equipped with the brand new M1 Pro chip, whose performance is close to or even exceeds the best Intel and AMD processors, and equipped with a 10-core CPU, 16-core GPU and 32 GB of RAM, Apple continues to hit hard with this MacBook.Pro, considered to be the most powerful ever designed. Intended for extremely advanced professional use, holding its battery for around twenty hours and being, as always, completely silent, there are very few things you'll have to deny yourself with a machine like this.

The company has finally returned to those minimalist decisions in terms of connectors and offers a more complete range. This MacBook Pro is therefore equipped with 3 USB-C ports, an SD card reader, an HDMI 2.0 port and a mini-jack socket.

Although the external chassis remains much the same as its predecessors, the Liquid Retina XDR screen has undergone significant changes. The edges have been significantly reduced, revealing a notch at webcam level. The keyboard shows a uniform black color. The Touch Bar, meanwhile, has disappeared, a sign that its presence is no longer so essential.

2. Dell XPS 13 9310

The Dell XPS 13 9310 features an Intel Core , an Intel Iris Xe graphics chip, 16 GB of RAM and 1 TBi7-1165G7 SSD storage If this laptop doesn't compete with Apple yet, it really isn't far off.

The only downside is its somewhat disappointing battery life, which will last around 8 hours with undemanding use. It makes up for it with its ergonomics, finesse and power which make it an ideal laptop for use in advanced professional conditions, its performance even allowing you to play games occasionally.

Let's talk about connectors, it has a micro SD slot, a USB-C port on each side and a connector. In short, its power and truly qualitative design make it one of the best ultrabooks on the market, as long as its autonomy is right for you.

3. Asus Zenbook Pro 15

What we can say is that this Asus Zenbook laptop can leave the competition in the shadows for a while. It has everything going for it: powerful, ergonomic, elegant, innovative and very solid.

Designed in metal for 2kg, this model is as robust as it is reliable for productivity. I can't write down all its qualities here, just unroll the list of specifications that offer so many attractive features. The Ryzen 9 5900HX processor may be too powerful for the configuration, but it will handle many demanding tasks. The RAM is 16 GB in DDR4X and this model has a FullHD OLED screen with 100% DCI-P3 color space.

As for the SSD, we have enough 1TB here to still focus this laptop on productivity. Too bad we can't have a dedicated graphics card in this model. But this Zenbook should satisfy graphic designers with its RX Vega 82100 MHz integrated into the 5900HX.

Practical with its various connectors: USB-A and USB-C, HDMI and micro SD card, even if it doesn't have a Jack port, Bluetooth 5 is there. Finally, its battery offers an autonomy of around 15 hours. It's one of the TOP 13-inch laptops.
